Caroline was born about 1871 in Stratford. She was the daughter of Thomas Undrill.
The 1871 English Census shows Thomas (25) was born in Newport, his wife Sarah (30) born in Harlow, Essex, and children Thomas H Undrill (2) born in Surrey, New Cross and Caroline E (0) born in Stratford. His occupation is listed as "Fireman On Locomotive". Dwelling: 50 Waddington Street, Stratford.[1]
