Biography

According to St. Paul Lutheran Church records, there were two infants named Mildred Sophie Undseth born to Peder Undseth and Sigrid Reiten. Both were baptized in St. Paul's and both were buried in Waldheim.

This Mildred was born on July 29, 1906 and baptized on September 2, 1906. Her sponsors were Karen & Halvor Reitan, Seline Undseth, and Sigvald Haugunson. She was buried on November 8, 1906.

Her sister was born June 21, 1905 and was baptized on September 17, 1905. Her sponsors were Lena and Christian Lewison and Marie and Olaf Roe. She died on October 5, 1905 and was buried the next day on October 6, 1905.

There is only one grave marker for "Baby Undseth" in Waldheim, but both children were probably buried together in plot 27.

There is a death record on the North Dakota Department of Health Public Death Index listed under the name Undseth for the baby that died in 1906, but not for the baby that died in 1905.
