Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy. Here is my family tree.
I never seem to have enough time to keep at my research without longer breaks as there are many duties as well as interests that make demands on my time. Thus it might sometimes take me a bit longer to answer, and I always need to check data before I can answer any questions, to make sure my answers are correct. Having said that, feel free to contact me!

To set up new categories, please add a parent category. Also, please do not use headings in category pages.

Example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Th%C3%BCringen%2C_Allenbach%2C_Rhineland-Palatinate_One_Place_Study it does not have a parent category and needs it. Also = headings should not be there.

Proper parent category is Category:Allenbach, Rhineland-Palatinate One Place Study

Here is an example, which I have already edited: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Koblenz%2C_Allenbach%2C_Rhineland-Palatinate_One_Place_Study

Thanks, Natalie, Categorization Project member

Thank, Natalie. I'll try to learn from the example and correct the others. However much I read help pages, the whole category thing is still a mystery to me. Hope I'll get it one day.

Ah, you already corrected them...!? Thank you so much, and sorry for creating additional work for you.

It's time for the One Place Studies Project Check-In!

We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Hi Anne,

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This is a courtesy email to share the After Adopting Orphans FAQ which explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.

If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

I hope this helps,

Debi

Thanks, Debi, I chose profiles from my area and I hope I'll come across these people soon. Put a link to them into my scratch pad, too.

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Traci, I think it's best to remove me from the list. All the best to you and the group, and good luck with your research.

Thanks for responding Anne. I'll remove you from the project but you are always welcome to rejoin any time!

Best wishes, Traci

Anne, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within projects which coordinate them is needed. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list for a project. Pre-1700's have new source requirements: See Cite Reliable Sources.

If trouble finding a project just ask.
