In the 1940 census Hattie (age 30) was the wife of Cecil Cochrane in Richmond, Wise, Virginia.[2]

Hattie was only 36 in 1946 when she died from pregnancy complications. She had influenza, acute nephritis, cardiac trouble, and eclampsia resulting the spontaneous deliver of 6-month-old fetus.[3]
