Ruth Hazel Nichols was born in 1913, daughter of Vincent T Nichols and Mattie Watts.

In the 1930 census Ruth (age 15) was the single daughter of Mattie Nichols at 3210 Frankfort Street, El Paso, El Paso, Texas, United States.^[2]

Ruth and Merion Ellis Brumley's son Roger Ellis Brumley was born on 11 March 1937 in Ward, Texas, United States.^[3]

In the 1940 census Ruth (age 24) was the widowed daughter of Mattie Nichols in El Paso, El Paso, Texas.^[4]

In the 1950 census Ruth (age 34) was the wife of G D Brumley in Nacogdoches, Texas, United States.^[5]
