Mary Thompson was born about 1762 in Granville County, Province of North Carolina, daughter of Jennings Thompson (1728–1791) and Mary Elizabeth Phillips (~1738–~1775).

Mary married Johann Peter Rape (born on May 21, 1759 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Province of Pennsylvania; son of Johann Peter Reeb I and Anna Margaretha (Renner) Rappe -Reeb). Their children were:

Mary died about 1827 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States, aged about 64.[1]
