WARNING: Probably fictitious person
The only source for Sara (family name not given) is a fable written by William J. Dietrich (1875-1950) that appeared in "History of Lehigh County" (Roberts 1914, pp 253 ff). In this fable, Sara was the wife of Elias Dietrich (1713-aft.1749), a heavily fictionalized version of the historical Elias Dietrich (1701-abt.1759), who was an early settler (about 1746) in Northampton Co PA. More details about this fictional Sara are provided below; see also Wm J Dietrich's Fictional Genealogy.
The only known information about Sara, her husband and her children, comes from biographical notes written by her purported son Johann Elias (b 1738) (Roberts 1914, v II pp 253 ff), but the accuracy of these notes has been questioned and they are probably spurious. Her estimated DOB 1718 assumes she was about 19 y.o. when she married Elias in 1737.
"Elias Dietrich, born in 1713, married in 1737 Sara. Children: Johann Elias, born at Dresden, J__ __, 1738; George Hans, born at Dresden, 12 Nov 1742; Adam Lorentz, born at Dresden, 1743. In the year of our Lord, 1743, Sara Dietrich died." (Roberts, quoting the account of Sara's purported son Johann Elias.)
Name: Sarah Dederick. Given Name: Sarah. Surname: Dederick. [1] Born 1718 Dresden, Stadt Dresden, Sachsen, Allemagne. [1] Died 1744 Dresden, Stadt Dresden, Sachsen, Allemagne. [1]
