Biography

The Birth Date is a rough estimate. See the text for details.
(based on her recollection of Captain Cook's first arrival at Tahiti)

Maimiti was described in the Pitcairn Register entry for death as being the relic of Fletcher Christian of the Bounty.[1]

Maimiti/Isabella's spouse Fletcher Christian died in 1793 in Australia.[2]

Isabella died on 19 September 1841 in Australia.[3]

Maimiti died on 19 Sep 1841 at Pitcairn Island. Her age was not known but she frequently said Captain Cook's first arrival at Tahiti was perfectly remembered by her. [1]

Name

Tahitians pre-1800s didn't have last names. I followed the advice on a G2G thread to handle this. I've adopted an Unknown profile and left the last name as Unknown. If the father is discovered the last name will be changed to the fathers first name.

Born 1768 Tahiti, French Polynesia. 1768 1652301, French Polynesia. Found multiple copies of birth date. Using 1768
