Biography
Some compiled family trees say that she was born Catherine Elizabeth Clark in North Carolina in 1763, but the disparity in ages makes it unlikely that she is the woman who Charles Wilkie married in 1803. A Cathrine Wilkey, head of a household in Chatham County in the 1810 United States Census, is very likely the mother of Horace and Tobias Wilkie.
