and Ellen Machin, third daughter of Mr John Machin of Boxford, Berkshire,
were married at Catmore Church in Berkshire on 6 July 1859.

In 1861 Ellen Machin was living at Twyford in Berkshire
with her husband Gabriel and their daughter Ellen.
Her age was given as 24, implying a birth date in 1836 or 1837.
Her birthplace was given as Hermitage, Berkshire.

Ellen Machin died at Henley on Thames on 18 June 1886 at the age of 50.
