Biography

Ellen Machin was born in 1836 at Hermitage in Berkshire. She was the daughter of John Machin. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Gabriel Machin, son of Mr Gabriel Machin of London Street, Reading, and Ellen Machin, third daughter of Mr John Machin of Boxford, Berkshire, were married at Catmore Church in Berkshire on 6 July 1859. ^{[4] [1]}

Their daughter Ellen was born in 1860. ^[5]

In 1861 Ellen Machin was living at Twyford in Berkshire with her husband Gabriel and their daughter Ellen. Her age was given as 24, implying a birth date in 1836 or 1837. Her birthplace was given as Hermitage, Berkshire. ^[2]

Ellen Machin died at Henley on Thames on 18 June 1886 at the age of 50. ^{[3] [6]}
