Rebecca, is the name listed on baptism record of daughter Rachel.
Rebecca, is the name mentioned in the Houchin's book.
There are NO documents that use her maiden name.
Maiden name is possibly HODGE.
It has been suggested that Rebecca Hodge (b.1663) is the wife of Edward, based on a 1684 marriage record of Edward Hutchins and Rebecca Hodge, in Crantock, Cornwall, England.
This marriage would only be possible under the assumption that Edward & Rebecca immigrated to America between 1684 and 1686. This is because Edward and Rebecca's daughter (Rachel) has a baptism record in New Kent County, Virginia dated 24-Oct-1686.
Question: Can anyone find any immigration records, or passenger lists, between 1684 and 1686 ?
While the Hutchins/Hodge marriage is a possibility, there may not be sufficient evidence.
Children
Their children are: Charles, Rachel, and probably Edward.

Published by National Society of the Colonial Dames of America
“Charles son to Edward Howchens bap' ye 17th of Aug', 1690.”
“Rachel daughter of Edward Huchens & Rebecca his wife bapt. ye 24 day of October, 1686.”
Book: "History of the Houchin Family in the United States"
by Dr. Paul C. Houchen, Beaver Crossing, Neb. (1931) 169p.
Edward Houtchens, son of Edward the first* appears in the records of Goochland County, Va., in 1737. Goochland County joins Henrico County, in which Richmond is located, on the west, and is in that section of the state between tidewater Virginia and the mountains.
*There are no records to confirm that Edward the second is Edward the first's son, but there is sufficient evidence to consider that the possibility.

The Steven E. Houchin Genealogy Collection:
The book "History of the Houchin Family in the United States" Dr. Paul C. Houchens, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska in October 1931, states this about Edward:
"Edward Howchens is the first of the name found in Virginia records, and it is from him that most of the Houchins in the country are descended. It is not known when he came to America, but in 1686 he was living in New Kent county, Virginia, a parishioner of St. Peters Parish." It continues, "The original register of St. Peters Parish is in the Virginia Theological Seminary at Alexandria, Va., and contains the names of Edward Howchens and his wife, Rebecca. The records of New Kent county were burned in 1866 and with their loss was also lost all further record of Edward Howchens and family."

Birth
Rebecca was born before 1671, assuming she was at least 15 years old when her daughter Rachel was born.

Death
Rebecca died after 1690.
There are no records of Rebecca's death.
The only absolute, is she was still living in 1690, when her son Charles was born.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rebecca by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rebecca:
Unknown-234959 and Hodge-1319 are not ready to be merged because: There is not sufficient evidence to show this is the same Rebecca who is living in Kent County Virginia in 1686. Notes have been added to Edward Howchens to suggest the possibility of this marriage.
