This profile is for the mother of Abigail (Unknown), who married Richard, "The Emigrant" Stockton (c.1635-1707).

There is no EVIDENCE that the maiden name of Richard "The Emigrant" Stockton's wife, Abigail, was either Bloomfield or Hunt. Several other maiden names are shown for Abigail by researchers, but again, all without any EVIDENCE they are correct.

Abigail is shown at WikiTree as Abigail (Bloomfield or Hunt) Stockton. As there is absolutely no EVIDENCE as to her maiden name, wouldn't Abigail (nee unknown) Stockton be more accurate?

By showing her as "Bloomfield or Hunt" it appears that WikiTree has some EVIDENCE that one of these maiden names is correct and that all other possible maiden names are incorrect.^[1]
