• It appears that this profile was created based on information that may be listed in the Death Notice of her possible daughter Anna Leonora (de Beer) Steyn (1801-1872). However, the baptism record of Anna Leonora (de Beer) Steyn (1801-1872) clear states her mother as Jacoba Elizabeth (Tas) de Beer (bef.1777-1858) and I have not yet been able to locate this Death Notice being referred to. It is possible that a mistake was made on the Death Notice & the incorrect details for the mother recorded (Death Notices are not a reliable Primary Source for parentage).
