Biography

Rachel was born about 1812 in Tennessee. Her parents are unknown at this time. She passed away about 1873 (or at least after 1870) probably in Jackson County, Tennessee. She is not found in records after the 1870 census.

Rachel married Charles Meador about 1830 in Jackson County, Tennessee.[citation needed]

In 1850 Charles Meador [Meders] was living in District 11, Jackson County, Tennessee. In his household are wife, Rachel, and children: James, John, Malissa, Elizabeth, Ardaminsa, Ardaleme, Franklin, and Margaret.[1]

In 1870 Charles Meador [Meadows] was still living in District 11, Jackson County, Tennessee. In his household are wife, Rachel, and children: Astema and Frank M. Also in the household are Charles Harrison, age 11, and Elizabeth Allen, age 6.[2]
