Biography
Engelje (Engelga) _________ married Conrad House[1], perhaps in the early 1740s, as the birth dates of the children are from 1743 onwards. Her name appears to be Dutch (Engelje) with a German spelling (Engelge), both pronounced more like Engleke. Some genealogies anglicize the name to Angelina or Angelica. She appears in some church records as a baptismal sponsor as Angel. She and Conrad eventually settled at Schuyler Lake, Otsego, New York. She was living on July 2, 1793 when she sponsored a baptism.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Engelge by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Engelge:
Engelge was not married to Conrad Haus-26, but to his nephew Conrad Haus-150. She is the same person as Unknown-307176. She was living in 1793 when she sponsored a baptism, so did not die in 1790. She lived at Schuyler Lake, so likely died there.
