Biography

Unknown (Unknown) Stiles is a part of US Black heritage.

This person is a slave owned by Benjamin H Stiles (1783-1852). He appears on the 1840 Census. He appears there with two other slaves, who I will assume is his family since he is so young, though that is not known. On the next census in 1850, he no longer appears with the Stiles family, however, the young female remains. He cold possible be the son of Unknown (Unknown) Stiles (abt.1815-)

The last name of STILES is an identifier only to help look him up. I have no reason to believe he ever used the STILES name.

On the 1840 Census of Cherokee County, North Carolina page 238 we have a Benjamin Stiles.
