PERSONAL. The death occurred at Canowindra recently of Mrs. Astill, mother of Mr. T. A. Astill. of Dabre Road. Only 54 years of age the late Mrs Astill died suddenly.[1]
She was the daughter of the late Mr. John Joseph and Mrs. Bridget Mitchell, who resided at Cave Creek (near Orange). She married Mr. Alfred Astill at Manildra about 1899. Surviving her were her husband, Alfred, and sons Thomas, John and Bernard, and daughters, Mrs. V. Tobin (Canowindra), and Miss ? Astill (Canowindra). Also surviving her were brothers Michael and Jack (Kandos) and Thomas and Patrick (Canowindra), and sisters, Mrs. N. Young (Wollar), and Mrs. J. Fitzgerald (Orange).[2]
