Biography
Miranda (Unknown) Armstead is a part of US Black heritage.
In 1870 Miranda Amistead (age 52, Keeping House) lived in Buffalo, Prince Edward County, Virginia with her husband Sam (67, Farm Labour) and five children [possibly some are actually grandchildren]: Jane (26), Scott (13), Paul (10), Ida (4), and Robt L (3 months) - Miranda was born in Virginia, her race was black.[1]
In 1880 Marinda Armstead (age 55, Keeping House) lived in Buffalo with her husband Sam (60) and seven children & grandchildren: Jane (36, Labourer), Paul (20, Labourer), Idar (17, Work on Farm), Lee (10, Works on Farm), Julia (8), Eddy (7), and Courtney (4).[2]
Miranda's husband passed away before 1900.
In 1900 Maranda Armstead (age 80) lived in Buffalo with her granddaugter Lizzie Armstead (17).[3]
