Rose was born in 1637 in Armagh, Ireland[1] and died in 1688 in Kennett, Chester, Pennsylvania.[2][citation needed]

She married Henry Dixon (also spelled Dickson, Dixson) in Ireland, before 1660.[citation needed]

Rose came to America as a widow with two of her daughters (Dinah and Rose) and her son William when he "joined the Quaker emigration from Ireland and came again to America, to William Penn's Colony of Pennsylvania, in that portion which now is Delaware" in 1688.[3]

Newark Monthly Meeting (MM) was renamed Kennett Monthly Meeting in 1760. A Friends Meeting in Christiana Hundred (located in New Castle County[4]) would have been in Newark MM prior to 1760.[5]

Note - The maiden name of Rose, wife of Henry Dixon, is not known. She was a widow when she immigrated to America (her son William had apparently immigrated first, and returned to bring her and his sisters, Dinah and Rose to America).[11]

The WikiTree profile Harlan-121 had Rose's maiden name as Harlan and was attached as daughter of William Harland and Deborah Elizabeth Seamon.[2][citation needed] She has been detached from William and Elizabeth (Seamon) Harland. In August 2016, the information in their profiles had Rose born after Elizabeth died, and her father born/died in England (she's born Ireland). ~ Noland-165 00:36, 26 August 2016 (EDT)

Hi profile managers,

Since this profile is currently project-protected with a Quakers project box and previous issue about the person's maiden name and parentage, we propose that the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) project be added as co-manager. All current profile manager would stay on as PMs.

Please contact the project leaders if there are any issues. Thanks!

update: merge completed

Harlan-121 and Unknown-333431 appear to represent the same person because: last duplicate of Rose, Henry's wife, to be merged. Please complete the merge. Thanks!
