Katherine (Unknown) Lake or Leake was the wife of John Leake, one of the early tobacco planters of St Mary's City, Maryland. John and Katherine Leake/Lake also were innkeepers at a tavern in Leonardstown, St Marys, Maryland. John and Katherine Lake were known to be of the Anglican faith.
Three of their children intermarried with local Catholics. This seemed to be a sore point for John Leake, who requested in his will that their youngest son, Richard, ought to be guided toward an Anglican marriage.
