It is just a year ago to-day / Since that dreadful message came. / That our dearest one was passing away, / A wonderful one, so true and rare, / The pain she had suffered few could bear; / She never complained, she was not that kind. / She was one of those dear mothers so hard to find; / But the hearts that loved her dearly / Are the hearts that never will forget. / Dear mamma, rest in peace.
