Her birth and death dates and locations are unknown. Her husband, Thomas was born about 1522[3][4]and was buried in Mowsley, England on November 2, 1589. [5]

Thomas Horton who died in 1585 leaving a widow whose name was probably Elizabeth and an unknown number of minor children. Will not located but administration papers identified him as Thomas the younger.[7]Also mentioned in the administration papers were William Horton of Mowsley and Joseph Horton - it is presumed that one was the administrator and one the bondsman), with no stated relationship to Thomas the younger.[8]
Joseph Horton, is presumed to be a son of Thomas Horton and his wife Jane, because of the administration papers at the time of the death of Thomas the younger.[9]"Upon the death of his older brother, Joseph may have assumed the guardianship of all his late brother's minor children, but this has yet to be documented."[10]
