Anna Catharina was born in Germany in 1717 and Peter Hockenberry were married in 1739 in the Palatinate. The couple emigrated to America, arriving in Pennsylvania sometime between 1745 and 1750. They settled in Franklin County, Pennsylvania where Anna reportedly died after 21 August 1750.[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Anna by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Anna:
Karen and Justin, I've completed the merge in accordance with your respective responses to my previous comment, but there are new issues to resolve aside from Anna's LNAB. Since you both have 1717 as Anna's year of birth, Peter's son Robert born in 1797 cannot possibly be her son. I have removed him and, temporarily at least, added him as a child of Peter's second wife, Alice. However, Alice reportedly was born in 1730, making her 67 at Robert's birth and highly improbable to say the least.
In addition to all that, there's a Findagrave memorial for one John Peter Hockenberry born in 1745 in Germany claiming that D.A.R. records prove him to be a son of Peter and Alice. One or both of you might want to email the creator of that memorial, Dan Layton at [email address removed] and see if he can provide documents or information directly from the D.A.R. records. Not sure WHERE Robert came from. I have (on Ancestry) children of Peter and Anna..............Henry, John, Mary, Margaret, James, and Jeremiah. I have children of Peter and 2nd wife, Alice......Peter, Catherine, Nancy, and Samuel.
At this point, I'd suggest removing Robert from Peter entirely and of course from Alice as well. There must be a generation between Robert and Peter, if he's related at all. The Findagrave memorial gives no source, and his WikITree profile has nothing that places him in Franklin County at any time. I think I'll message the manager of Robert's profile.
WikiTree says do not complete the merge unless Schuhmacher is the correct LNAB. Unfortunately, there is no source to support Schuhmacher or any other surname for LNAB. In my view, Schuhmacher is better than Unknown, but it would have to be designed "Uncertain".
