Biography

Ann Lee was born about 1818 in Bredbury, Cheshire, England to Samuel Lee and Betty.

Ann Lee married Joseph Gee in 1839. The marriage was registered in Stockport, Cheshire in the second quarter of the year.^[1]

In 1861 Ann Gee (age 43) lived in Denton, Lancashire with her husband Joseph (43, Coal Miner) and four children: Eli (17, Coal Miner), Isabella [Arabella] (12, Scholar), Ellen (7, Scholar), and Joseph (5, Scholar).^[4]

Ann's husband Joseph Gee passed away in early 1871.

In 1871 Ann Gee (age 53, Late Weaver) lived in Denton, Lancashire with four of her children: Arabella (21, Cotton Operative), Ellen (19, Cotton Operative), Joseph (16, Collier), and Peter (9, Scholar).^[5]

Ann Gee passed away in late 1871, aged 53 years. Her death was registered in Aston under Lyne, Lancashire in the last quarter of the year.^[6]
