Biography

Jane (Brabyn) Maunder was born in Cornwall, England.

Jane was born in 1842 in Newlyn, Cornwall and was the daughter of Samuel Brabyn and Elizabeth Anstes^[1].

On 28 Jun 1872 Jane embarked on the Bebington and emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand, arriving on 25 Oct^[2]

She married Alfred Maunder in 1878.^[3]

MAUNDER — In loving memory of my beloved wife, Jane, who passed away on the 3rd September, 1913.

Fond days and nights she bore in pain,

To wait for cure was all in vain;

But God alone, who thought it best,

Did ease her pain, and gave her rest.
