Biography

Andrew Hallett (Jr) married an unknown woman, who was the mother of his first five children.

1. Abigail Hallett, b. say 1642; m. Duxbury 10 Dec 1672 Jonathan Alden, son of John Alden.^[1] Her tombstone says she died 17 Aug 1725 aged 81 making her born about 1644.^[2]
2. Ruhamah Hallett, b. say 1644; m. (1) Sandwich 14 Dec 1664 Job Bourne, son of Richard; m. (2)William Hearsey of Hingham.
3. Dorcas Hallett, bpt Barnstable 1 June 1646; no further record.^[1] Dorcas dtr of Andrew Hallet bpt 1 Jun 1646 (of the church of Yarmouth, beeing ye 2d sabbaoth of or meeting in our new meeting-house)^[3]
4. Jonathan Hallett, b. Yarmouth 20 Nov 1647; m. Abigail Dexter, d/o Thomas Dexter.^[1] Jonathan sonn of Andrew Hallet of Yarmouth bpt 23 April 1648.^[3]
5. John Hallett, b. Yarmouth 11 Dec 1650; ;m. Mary Howes

Her last child was born at the end of 1650 and Mehitable the daughter of Andrew's second wife was born say 1663, so the first wife died about this time.
