There is no evidence of her maiden name and parents. See Leslie Mahler (2005) TAG 80:219 and Timothy Stanley" in GM2:462-466 and NEHGR 168:33 (2014)

There is evidence that her maiden name was Morrice.[1]

Biography

Elizabeth married Timothy Stanley in England by 1629. [2] They had four sons, Joseph, Timothy, Caleb, and Isaac, and three daughters, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Lois. [2]
Elizabeth, widow of Timothy Stanley, married 2nd, Andrew Bacon of Hartford and Hadley, after 1648. [2]

Residence

Residence: Hartford, Connecticut Colony (later Connecticut)
Date: 1636 - 1678 [2]

Burial

Burial: Ancient Burying Ground, Hartford, Hartford, CT[3]
Epitaph: "Elizabeth, the wife of Andrew Bacon of Hadley, aged 76 yeares, deceased Feb. 25, 1678 who was formerly the wife of Timothy Stanley of Hartford". [2]

"Elizabeth Bacon late of Hadly now resident in Hartford" made her will 30 October 1671. It was proved 6 March 1678/9. Her son Caleb Standly was caring for her, and had given his share of his brother Isaac's estate to his mother. Therefore Elizabeth left to Caleb, "all that my housing & lands in Hadly that formerly were my husband's Andrew Bacon's late of Hadly & fell to me by his last will or by the death of my dear son Isack" The rest of the estate was to be divided by son Caleb Standly, and daughters Elizabeth Sension (wife of Mark), Abigall Coles and Lois Porter & their children. Elizabeth was to give Sarah Sension 5 pounds out of her share. Friend John Allyn and kinsman Nathaniel Standly of Hartford to be overseers.[4]

I think this is your lady and it shows her maiden name. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/15212590/elizabeth-bacon
The FG memorial offers no source for its claim. The narrative above references "Torrey, p. 701: STANLEY, Timothy (1600-1648) & Elizabeth [MORRICE?], m/2 Andrew BACON; by Jan 1632/3; ?Hartford/Farmington?" Using AmericanAncestors, the citations used by Torrey are: Fellows (1940) 147; Warner-Harrington 620; Hartford Prob. 1:36, 119; Keeler-Wood 363, 365; Bassett-Preston 218, 273; Dunham-Boyd 123; Cole (1887)."

Each of these references need checking to find out what source or evidence each provides fir her supposed maiden name.

Kathy, I aso suggest you read the articles referenced under "Disputed Origins"

Thank you, Bobbie. When someone gets a chance, please review the sub-citations for where the Morrice surname comes from.

Jim V, you added a note that there is evidence her maiden name was Morrice with a link to Ancestry. Could you provide more info about the Ancestry source and what it says/includes? Many of us don't have access. Thanks.

Changing her surname to Unknown in a few days. Last chance to object.

Since there is no evidence for the surname "Morrice" for Elizabeth, I think it's time to change her LNAB to Unknown.

This is a PGM profile. Anderson in his Great Migration says her surname is unknown.

Morrice-19 and Morrice-2 appear to represent the same person because: Please cease making valid merge requests Unmerged Matches, The sources are at the top of the profile under Disputed Parents. All peer reviewed.

I added a source which quotes her epitaph on Morrice-2. Using the date of death from that (1678, and subtracting her years given in the epitaph (76), it appears she was born about 1602.
Morrice-2 and Morrice-19 are not ready to be merged because: Same person, slightly different dates.
