Biography

Anne (_____) Redmond Bryant's date and place of birth are unknown.

Anne was not the daughter of Henry Meese, and her surname at birth is not yet known. Henry Meese had no wife and family in America and his daughter Ann never left England.

She was probably born by 1655 since she was a widow with a son, William Redmond, when she married Richard Bryant about 1680. Richard's will, written in 1703, probated in May of 1704, says, "my will my son in law [step son] WILLIAM REDMOND if he will shall live upon the Plantation whereon his Mother lives seven years rent free or upon the Plantation where SAMUEL BURTON now liveth ..." From this reference in the will, it seems that his wife Anne was the mother of William Redmond.[1]

The first record that names Anne is as a witness to a 1690 pre-marital agreement for a woman named Martha "Folio" (Foley). Two of the witnesses to this record were Richard and Anne "Brian". [2] Anne and Richard were the parents of at least six children, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Richard, Anne, Sylent, and Susannah, all named in Richard's will. The court record shows "probate thereof is granted to ANN BRYANT Exectx." [3]

Anne's death date is unknown.

Meese-230 and Unknown-444441 do not represent the same person because: Not the same person. Different DOB. One is old enough to be the mother of the other.

Meese-230 and Unknown-444441 appear to represent the same person because: Anne Redmond/Redman Bryant’s maiden name is unknown. These are the same woman. Henry Meese arrived in Virginia too late to be her father. If he had children in Virginia, why didn’t he either give them his Virginia land before he returned to England or leave them anything in his will?

Anne was a widow when she married Richard Bryant. Her son, William Redman, is named in his will. Her LNAB should be Unknown.
Redman-1897 and Meese-8 appear to represent the same person because: Redman is unknown surname and I have no idea why it's listed.
The patawomeck pdf link is bad.

Is the "Desc. of Pocahontas" project protection to prevent her from being attached without proper sources?
