Elizabeth was born about 1749 in Maryland or Virginia, possibly the daughter of Thomas Lockett or someone named Locke. She may have married John Atwell of Anne Arundel, Maryland about 1770 in Maryland or Virginia. They had about 7 children. Elizabeth passed away 1825 in North Carolina or Virginia, at the age of about 76 years.
Notes
This person was created through the import of Shortened files.ged on 30 December 2010.
I was interested to find the following book at HeritageQuest, ProQuest: Blankenburg, Katherine Dixon Carter. Thomas Lockett of Virginia: genealogical memoir. San Diego, CA: Arts & Crafts Press, 1940, 145 pgs. At first, I thought this might be a wonderful find, but now it occurs to me that John Atwell Sr's wife is possibly called a Lockett because of this family. There were Locks and Lockes in MD, more likely.
