Hawise was probably born before 1152. A charter of 1167 or later records her, her husband, and his son and heir Ralph making a grant to Belvoir Priory.
She, her husband, and their sons Oliver and Ralph made a grant of an interest in a church at Saxelby and land at Driholm to Newhouse Priory, partly for the soul of William 'de Albeniaco' (d’Aubigny) who had given them the fee.
An unnamed daughter, who married Sir Ralph de Nevill of Scotton, Lincolnshire, had a son Robert who was of age in 1212.
