Biography
Eleanor was born in 1775 [1], she may have been the daughter of Isaac NEELEY if we can find records showing his birth date was actually 1755. As most records agree Isaac L that married Fanny Harrelson was not born until 1773 or 1774. Other possible parents include Thomas Neeley and Elizabeth Lea-Lee Eleanor married Jacob DUNKLE in 1808. They had four children. Sarah 1807, William Zebulon 1809, Aletha 1812, John Cilbert 1816. She passed away after 1850.
DNA matching in segments overlapping with other cousins in FTDNA and Ancestry do point to the Neeley family living in Caswell County, NC.
Only one known source so far for age of "Nelly" Duncle (Dunde on census record of 1850) birth date has her 75 years old in 1850, making her born in 1775. Same as her husband Jacob Dunkle. If the census records age is correct which is in question, as they may just added her husband's age as hers. Maybe she was 14 or 15 years younger than he ? But if her age is correct many trees and Ancestry DNA suggestions are pointing to parents Isaac Neeley born 1774, and Frances Harrelson born 1775 as her parents. Which cannot be correct as they would have been only age 1 and zero !
