Alice was born about 1864.

Name

Her name is given in the 1911 census as Ma Ke Sootch E Win Kah, which is for Mą̄xíšūčiwįga, "She Makes the Clouds Red". This is from mą̄xí, "cloud, sky, heavens"; šūč, "red"; hi, a causative ("to make"); -wį, a feminine gender infix, and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names. This is an Upper Moiety name.

Death

She passed away between June 1914 and June 1915, since she is found in the census of 1914, but not in that of 1915.
