Katherine Amanda Dawson, of 157 Young Street, Welland, died on May 6, 1936 at the Welland Hospital. She was born in Ontario on December 16, 1848, the daughter of Stephen Reece, born in Ontario, and Sarah Gaihney, born in the United States. Her husband, William Dawson, predeceased her. The informant on her death record was her sister, Mrs. Emma Eastman, of 7 Leila Street, St. Thomas, Ontario. She died from myocardial degeneration and a fractured neck of femur. She was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, on May 9, 1936.

MARRIAGE: Married at Suspension Bridge, NY on Oct 10, 1891. Witnesses were Stephen Reece, Sarah Reece, and Emma Eastman. Stephen and Sarah were "Joseph Willard's" grandparents (on Mother side) and Emma Eastman was Willard's Aunt (on the mother's side), (Emma Reece) Willard's mother's sister.

1900 census shows him an Iron Molder. William Wallace Dawson his son, says he also was a Motorman on the Buffalo trolley.
