Biography

Lilian "Lily" Mabel Whiting was born on 12 Aug 1889 in Bodmin, Cornwall, England to Richard Whiting and Rebecca Jane (Beer) Whiting. Her birth was registered in Bodmin in the third quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Beer.^[1]

Lilian's mother passed away in 1890.

In 1891 Lilian M Whiting (age 1) lived in Bodmin with her father Richard (38, Farm Labourer) and three siblings: J B (13), Caroline (7), and Herbert (4).^[2]

Lilian's father married Hannah Jane Gill [aka Anna Jane Gill] in 1892.
