Sarah Turk was baptised in Hartfield, Sussex on 22 December 1811. She was the daughter of Joseph Turk & Elizabeth Sendall.[1]
Thomas Brown married Sarah Tuck at St Michael and All Angels Church in Withyham, Sussex on 25 Apr 1831. The witnesses were William Brown and Susannah Paris.[2]
Sarah (Turk) Brown was a Bounty Immigrant to New South Wales.
Thomas & Sarah set sail from England on 14 Nov 1837 on the sailing ship "Duchess of Northumberland", and arrived in Sydney, New South Wales on 26 Apr 1838.[3]
Thomas and his family lived first at "The Cowpastures" near Cobbity. They later trekked inland and settled at Jerawa Creek, Dalton.
Sarah passed away in 1902, and was buried in the Dalton Uniting Church Cemetery.[4]
