Baptism: 18 Jan 1686 St Andrews, Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England, the daughter of Christopher and Mary Upham, Rebecca's name is spelt Rebekka. There is no baptism for a Rebecca in 1688 but there is a baptism that is likely to be correct in 1686, it's unclear where the birth date would have come from. This baptism would mean Rebecca's parents were Christopher Upham and Mary Harvie who married in 1678 in the parish and appear to have had another 3 daughters, namely Dorothy, Mary and Elizabeth. ^[1]

Marriage: 04 Jul 1714 Wiveliscombe (St Andrew) Parish Register. The parish register transcript shows this marriage date as the 4th not the 14th of July, the original parish register image would need checking to be sure which was right. The parish register transcript also had trouble with Valantine's surname so its transcribed as p??????. ^[2]
