He was working as a Agricultural Labourer in the 1861 census and was living at Wilmcote Row, Aston Cantlow.
By 1881 he was a unemployed Farm Bailiff and they were living at 9 Cornbury Rd, Deptford St Paul, Kent.
In 1901 he was a retired Farm Steward living at 36 Beulah Road North, Croydon.
