I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made a few contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!
Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects
Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.
Hi Virginia! Jess had to leave but asked if one of us greeters could stop by & offer a hand.
It looks like you must have received the initial email, since you've confirmed your e-mail. If not, see E-Mail_Confirmation_Problems
Your note said you'd added tags & volunteered, but that's not reflected on your profile page. When I added tags to my profile, I discovered (the hard way) that you can only save one tag at a time. Perhaps that's what happened? Could you try again to add a tag (just one to start) - in the dropdown menu below "Add" (in the mini-menu at upper right on your profile page when you're logged in) click "Followed Tags".
I'll be online off and on all day till about 11 pm (it's 9:40 am Eastern time now). Give a holler if that doesn't work.
Welcome to WikiTree. By now you should have received an email with helpful links to get you started on adding your family to ours.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree?
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.
When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.
