Biography
Jonathan was born in 1780 to Joseph and Elizabeth Upton in Reading.
In 1803, he married Nancy Whittemore. They had 12 children:
- Nancy (b-1805 Tyngsboro) married Caldwell
- Joseph (b-1806 Tyngsboro)
- Jonathan Russell (b-1808 Hudson N. H.)
- Mary (b-1809 Hudson N. H., d-1831)
- Abigail (b-1811 Tyngsboro) married Kendall
- Sarah Whittemore (b-1813 Tyngsboro) married Hosmer
- Peter (b-1817 Tyngsboro)
- Ebenezer (b-1819 Tyngsboro)
- Andrew (b-1821, d-1822 Tyngsboro)
- John Green (b-1823 Tyngsboro)
- Susanna (b-1826, d-1827 Dunstable)
- Julia Ann (b-1829 Dunstable) married Avery
Jonathan died in 1839 in Dunstable.
