Biography

Esteban Uron, also known as Estevan Uron, Esteban Huron and Estevan Huron was born about 1830. His parents were Jose Uron and Maria de la Garza.

The General Census of La Bahia del Espiritu Santo dated 24 Apr 1825 reported the following: Estevan Uron, single, age 1.

Esteban married Dolores Buentello on 27 Jun 1849 in Bexar County, Texas. Their children are Antonio, Maria Ignacia, Blasa, Cesaria, Anita, Mariana, Esteban, Juana, and Cayetano Uron.

On 20 Feb 1857, in the State of Texas, County of Bexar, Estevan Huron, residing on the East side of the Medina River, was granted his official cattle brand. Record signed by Sam S Smith, County Clerk.

The 1860 United States Census documented the following: Estevan Uron, male, age 28; Dolores Uron, female, age 25, Antonio Uron, male, age 10; Maria E Uron, female, age 8; Blasa Uron, female, age 7, Sesaria Uron, female, age 4; and Mariana Uron, female age 1. All household members born in the State of Texas.

Esteban passed away on 18 Mar 1900 in Bexar County, Texas. He is buried at the Espada Cemetery, Bexar County, Texas.
