Biography
Francis Urquhart was born in 1813, and baptised on the 10th of December, the son of John Urquhart and Isabella Moir. [1] His baptism is recorded in the Turriff Church registry.[2]
Francis wed Rachel Louisa Forbes at Old Machar, on the 29th of March 1849.[3]
Survived the Crimean War
Major and Brevet-Colonel Francis Gregor Urqnhart, C.B., retired full-pay, late 1st Foot, to have the honorary rank of Major-General.Dated 20th July 1866.[4]
Francis Gregor Urquhart passed away in 1889.[5]
