Isobel "Belle" Urquhart was born on 28 November 1898 in Whangarei, New Zealand[1]. She was the daughter of Duncan Urquhart and Sarah Mort. Her father was an Orchardist.
Belle was 30 years of age when she married William Alexander Land (the son of Edmund Land and Rosina Alexander) on 3 June 1930 in Auckland, New Zealand[2].
They remained childless.
In the 1931 New Zealand Electoral Rolls (1853-2010), Isabelle Land was recorded living at Manawaru, Te Aroha, married.
Belle and her husband later lived at 9 Grace Street in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.
By 1966, Isobel Land was recorded living at 31 Monmouth Street in Tauranga Central.
Isobel Land was still resident at 31 Monmouth Street, Tauranga when she passed away on 21 October 1977 in Tauranga Public Hospital. She had been diagnosed with Secondary Carcinomatosis (duration 8 weeks). The certifying Doctor was D. M. Pemberton.
She was cremated on 25 October 1977 at Tauranga and Pyes Pa Crematorium, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty[3][4].
Not to be confused with "Ruby Isabella Land" who died on 5 October 1976.
