Biography

George was born in 1802 and christened in 1803. His parents were named as Walter and Sarah. He was a cadet in the Bengal Infantry in 1822 and achieved the rank of lieutenant in 1823. He resigned in England in 1836. George emigrated to New Zealand c 1858 and died there in 1877.
