Biography

Eva was born in 1899. She passed away in 1997.

Marriage and Family

On October 14th, 1922 Eva Urquhart and Clarence Crooke married in Montgomery County, Texas. ^[1]

In 1927, the couple welcome their first child, Eva Janet Crooke. Then, in 1928, the couple had a stillborn son. ^[2][3]

In 1930, Clarence works as an agent for an oil company and Eva works as a cashier. The couple has a 3-year-old daughter and they rent a house on Thompson Street in Conroe. ^[4]

In 1940 the family had bought the house they previously rented. Clarence is disabled and unable to work, but Eva works for the school. Their daughter, Janet, attends school. Two boarders live with the family who also work for the school. ^[5]

When he registered for the draft in 1942 at 50 years old, Clarence was unemployed and they lived in Texas. While his WWI discharge papers do not mention an injury, he marked that he had a bullet wound in his left instep.^[6]

Conflicts

Her headstone says she was born in 1900. However, the US Social Security Death indeax ^[7] lists her birthyear as 1899. Profile reflects her headstone.
