In 1851 she was staying with her grandmother and family in Montrose.
She passed away in 1902. Her obituary gives some details:
The death took place yesterday of Catherine Jane Urquhart, 31 Lauder Road, Grange, Edinburgh. While in Cannes in 1900 she met with severe accident, and was brought home, but never rallied. Dr Urquhart was well-known in the southern district of the city, where she founded a dispensary of her own, which was largely taken advantage of by the poor.
