Sent to Juliet A Horder by Michael Charles Horder 1931 (In his own words)
The 1881 census shows that the Horders actually lived at Brunswick Buildings near Kings Road
Children
Thus they were in Basingstoke 1873 - 1875 at least ? any census
By 1895 WFH had a corn merchants shop at 44 Oxford Road. Was a preacher at Windsor Congregational church where he is said for some reason to have preached in his carpet slipper.
Had five sons and 5 daughters
Died 63 Peascod Street. Unusual heat accelerated his illness. Interred in Windsor Cemetery
In 1900 the shop was still Ushers but there was a shop at 48 Oxford Road. The Horders did not then live at 84 Oxford Road. Understood they lived in Arthur Road at one time. The Peasocd Street shop was still called Ushers

Wilton is a town 3 miles west of Salisbury
Grocers assistant in 1881 census. Came to Windsor in 1880 from Basingstoke. First worked for his uncle Charles Usher corn merchant at 63 Peascod Street. Since CU was single this must mean he was the brother of WFH's mother who must therefore have been an Usher
