Death: "Jn: Ussery deceased ye 7th d of ffebruary 1687/88" as recorded in the Vestry Book of St. Paul's Parish of New Kent and St. James, Virginia.[1]
Research Notes
Ancestry.com or LDS ancestral files are fact-free. John Ussery most certainly did not have four names (John Thomas Richard /Ussery on Ancestry). It appears from the St. Paul's Vestry Book that his first name may acutally have been Jonathan Ussery. His wife may have been named Mary. Her ancestry is also suspect.
There is no evidence cited that John was born at 1640 in Belton, Lincolnshire, England.
Descent from the Knights Eure is ridiculous. There would be records and this is unfounded.
Even correcting this the following warning:
A parent's death date (Ussery-95 died 1688) should not be more than 120 years before one of their children died (Ussery-131 died 1804) . This would mean the child lived to be over 120.
