Elizabeth Ozier "Osia" Utterback was born 17 June 1870 in Calloway, Kentucky, USA to James Henry Utterback and his first wife Frances Jane Curd.
[1][2]
She was named for her grandmother, Rachel Ozier Caldwell Utterback. However, over the years, people called her “Osia” and were always misspelling her name. She finally gave up and used “Osia” or "Osier", even though it was not her true given name.
[3]
She married William Burton Graham on 19 Feb 1890.
[4][5][6]
Osia and William had the following children: [5][6]
Foreman Hilton Graham (1893–1975). Married Ola May Johnson.
Hobart Graham.
William H. Graham (1900–1971)
Note: Although the "Utterback Book" by William Irvin Utterback [1] is used as a source, it is mainly used for lineage - many of the dates cited in the book are incorrect (and it only lists one wife for James Henry Utterback). Correct dates and names are taken from a family Bible. [7]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Osia by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Osia:
Utterback-23 and Utterback-43 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same birth date and Osia was Elizabeth Ozier Utterback's nickname.
