Maria was born about 1686 on Staten Island, a daughter of Peter Uzille aka Uzeile and Cornelia Damen. In "The Life and Family of Simeon Le Roy," Becker identified her as a daughter of David Uzille and Marie Casier,[1] apparently their daughter Maria Magdalena, born in 1662. However, Lorine McGinnis Schulze pointed out that the woman who married Jonas Larroy bore children as late as 1723, making it very unlikely that she was born in 1662. She suggest that Maria was a member of the next generation of the family, identifying Pierre Uziele and Cornelia Damen as her likely parents.[2] This identification is supported by the presence of Pieter and Cornelia at the baptism of Jonas and Maria's first child, as well as by the given names of the children of Jonas and Maria.
The marriage of Maria Oeycke and Jonas Larroy on 28 September 1703 was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York. The marriage record did not contain the name Usiele, but a note added by Hoes indicates that subsequent records of baptisms identify her with that name.[3]
Her husband was Léonard Rémy Le Roy, also known as Jonar or Jonas Larroway, and was the ancestor of the Larroway Loyalist line in Ontario.
[4][5]
According to Becker, Leonard/Jonar/Jonas Le Roy and Maria Uzille removed from Kingston to Poughkeepsie, next removed to the vicinity of Albany in about 1714, and finally removed to Schoharie between 1723 and 1729. Maria died some time before her husband, who died some time after 1750.[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Marytje by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Marytje:
Thanks. Could you please add that record to the Church Records section of this profile? (Project protection is not intended to indicate some sort of a monopoly on who edits profile contents. It only affects the LNAB and connections to immediate family members. Protection was needed on this profile due to the crazy variety of last names that people may have for her.)
I have photos of their marriage from the typed records of the DRC. In both of those I see her name Maria Oeycke [Usiele]. I think the way these are written indicate that "Oeycke" might be seen as an earlier mistake. Usiele is consistent with other records. By changing David's name to this spelling I immediately found new links.
I believe that the profiles Ziele-8 and Uzille-1 represent the same person.
The different versions of her last name are more different than most, but it's very plausible that Ziele (a name I've not yet seen in a record for her), Uzille, Usile, Usiele, etc., are the same name. It's not obvious that the unique name Oeycke is the same name, but it does start with a vowel sound, it includes the S/C/Z-type sound, and it ends with an E -- and the baptism of a child the year after the marriage confirms that this is the same woman.
Her parents are not 100% certain, but the evidence I've seen is consistent with their being Peter Uzile and Cornelia Damen.
I think her LNAB should be Usiele, the name recorded on the earliest known record that gives her name and doesn't call her Oeycke. (The name Oeycke is too much of an outlier to be considered an LNAB.) Any objections to Usiele?
