Biography
Donato Valente, born 27 May 1891, came from Italy to Sofia parish, Stockholm, Sweden in January 1915. He lived in the household of Giovanni Jaconelli and Angela Rossi and worked as a street musician.[1]
Donato Valente moved north, to Älvros parish, in 1920. He married Amanda Paulina Persson 18 October 1921 and had two children. In 1926 the family moved to Sveg. Donato Valente became a Swedish citizen in 1927.[2][3]
They were tenants in Bysiksjön,[4] then Bynilsvallen. In 1930 they moved to Hamrånge[5] where they were tenants in Bartjärn[6] until they returned to Sveg in 1932.[7] Donato Valente worked as a bricklayer.[8][9][10]
Donato Valente was divorced September 24, 1964. He died in Sveg 9 July 1979.[11]
